As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and processing diverse healthcare data from heterogeneous sources, enabling us to deliver world-class AI-powered solutions. You will design and maintain robust pipelines to handle and process a variety of datasets—structured and unstructured—empowering high-quality analytics and machine learning applications. Your contributions will help transform healthcare diagnostics and improve patient outcomes on a global scale.
Your role
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to process and transform data from a variety of heterogeneous sources, including hospitals, labs, and healthcare providers.
- Build robust systems for cleaning, normalizing, and integrating diverse datasets into formats suitable for machine learning and analytics.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, clinicians, and product teams to understand data requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Ensure data quality by implementing automated validation, monitoring, and discrepancy resolution processes.
- Optimize data workflows to handle varying data formats, schemas, and structures efficiently.
- Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with data privacy regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
Your profile
- Proficiency in Python, with experience using standard data science libraries like Numpy, Pandas, and Scipy.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design for structured and unstructured data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data engineering tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in building and managing ETL pipelines for handling large and complex datasets from diverse sources.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their managed data services, though expertise in a specific platform is not required.
- MLOps experience and familiarity with AI frameworks like PyTorch are welcomed but not required.
- Previous experience in similar roles or tasks, preferably in a healthcare or MedTech setting, is highly desirable.
